SINDHUPALCHOWK- A massive landslide occurred at Ramche VDC of Sindhupalchowk district blocked the Sunkoshi river burying more than 70 houses and taking 8 people's life. The disaster happened at about 2:00 am on Saturday swept away the whole Jure bazzar and the debris of the landslide blocked over the River made a large lake in the upstream stopping the flow of water, seems to be very dangerous that river may burst anytime. More than 40 people including women,child,elders got injured. Thought more than 18 persons are said to be still missing. The Nepal Army choppers were deployed for rescue operation.
The critical injured have been taken to the Capital by airlift yesterday, for treatment and rest of them are undergoing treatment in Sindhupalchowk.
Till the evening of Saturday the water from northern side of the clogged river started to flow out after the Nepal Army with an expert team of technician exploded to break the blocked edge.
